  According to his grandson, Steven Morrison, (see Ancestry Message Board stevendmorrison), John moved to the USA during WWI and fought with American troops in France where he contracted the Flu and spent some time in a French hospital. He married Lucille Kennett of Illinois and they had two children: John Lee and Donald Rae(1927-2002).
