Notes - Ted, married Edith Gillespie in 1933 and they lived with his widowed father. Ted and Edith sang at many concerts, weddings and funerals around the area and were in popular demand.
- In 1957, Ted, who worked for the CPR, suffered a broken leg and 3 fractured ribs when he fell into the path of the rail car he had been riding when the brakes jolted.
- After his wife died in 1970, Ted lived in his house alone and often ate supper next door with his brother Goldie and his wife Gertie. On one such night he looked out the window and saw that his house was on fire. It burned his home to the ground, destroying his precious family pictures and mementos along with his music.
