Notes - Obituary The News-Palladium, Benton Harbor, Michigan - 01 Nov 1938, Tue • Page 9 - FORMER TWIN CITY RESIDENT DIES BUCHANAN, Nov. 1 The death of Mrs. Elizabeth L. Gilmore, 85, former resident of St. Joseph, occurred at 2:45 p. m. Monday at her home, 906 South Oak street, after several months' ill health. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p. m. in the Swem chapel with Rev. R. C. Puffer of the Methodist church, of which the deceased was a member,' officiating. Burial will be in Stark cemetery.
Mrs. Gilmore was born in Ireland, Dec. 15, 1852, and came with her late husband and their children to Baroda in 1913. The husband, Henry, died in 1929, and for several years Mrs. Gilmore lived with her son, William, in St. Joseph and 7 years ago moved to Buchanan to reside with a daughter, Mrs. Nina Hartman. She is also survived by a son by a former marriage, Rev. Henry W. Allen of Ft. Worth, Tex.
