    • From Glenn Morrison's 'The Morrisons of Farewell' 1993: Homer and Howard stayed on the farm with Yankee Bill [their father] until he died in 1939. They took over the farm as partners and continued the mixed farming operation. A confirmed bachelor throughout his life, Homer shared the farm work and also became a Road Superintendent for Arthur Township. He lived on the farm with Howard and his wife Catherine until his death in 1976.
