    • Obituary 13 March 1891 The Bolton Enterprise
James Duffy of Albion, Lot 11 in the 5th Concession, died on Sunday morning last, 5th day of March after a lingering illness of a year or more. The deceased was born in the County of Sligo in 1813 and came to Canada in 1832, settling upon the old homestead. He subsequently married a daughter of Mr Walker's of the Township of York, Yeoman, and she predeceased him some four years ago. The deceased was a staunch conservative and adherent of the Methodist Church. H ewas an active member of L.O.L., No 146, Albion, formerly called the Armstrong Lodge. The many excellent traits in the character of the deceased caused him to be very highly respected wherever he was known, and his death caused universal sorrow. The funeral was largely attended and the Rev Walker of Mono Road preached the funeral sermon at St Paul;s Church, Bolton. Six sons of the deceased were the pallbearers.
