  Brother of Robert (my 3x ggrandfather) as per Lois Matthew's research 1994. In Rev William Shannon's document it says he is the brother of Jane (Allen) Shannon and therefore son of Wm Allen & Catherine Cochrane. Birth year calculated based on age at death (90 in Sep 1881) Re Death Date: From The Advertiser, Owen Sound Newspaper Thurs 15 Sep 1881 (p. 3, col. 1) - Died: Mr. B. Allen received a cablegram Monday last that his father died on Friday of last week near the city of Sligo, Ireland, at the age of 90 years. Mrs. Allen still survives him, but after a union of 65 years here below, the reunion is not likely to be far in the distance.
