  Jenny's mother died in childbirth. Baby Jenny Beemer was raised by her grandparents, William & Rebecca Allen, until she was about 8-12 years old. At that time, her father, who was farming out west, came home and took his daughter Jenny back with him. However, by the 1921 Census, Jenny was back in Iron Bridge living with her widowed grandmother.
